Making the transition from a careless youth to a responsible adult is difficult in any culture. Few adults live happy, connected lives filled with purpose and freedom. Without an inspiring role model many teens rebel against the process of growing up. The result is often continued conflict, disconnection, and destructive behavior. Deep connection to nature, guidance from our ancestors and Vision for the future have always been the tools for making this transition. Confidence is developed through learning to provide for oneself within the context of the sacred order; fire, shelter, water and food. Gifts and medicine are found through the discovery of passions like archery, woodworking, and herbalism. The ancient scout skills of tracking, stalking, camouflage, and awareness, push the students understanding of what it means to be a person and an animal.

Finally through leadership opportunities and through the development of vision, students find a purpose beyond self.

Our teen summer camps are fun and life changing. We offer teen programming year round with rites of passage opportunities like wilderness survival, solos, and vision quests.

What to expect:

Lots of outdoor time, ancient and modern survival skills, new connections with friends, the environment and themselves. All these create a life changing experience.

We do have a yurt, a main building and lots of access to surrounding nature including the river and primitive camp. We’ll spend time wherever we feel called.

What to Bring:

Bring a lunch, water, appropriate clothes for inclement weather (footwear- please have shoes, boots, or sandals WITH straps) and a backpack.
